SHE ROLLED OVER!

I apologize for not blogging more often. As you can imagine, I'm a little preoccupied with Emily... she requires 110% of my time! I'll try to get on here more often, as she's growing so much every day.

Here's her latest accomplishment:

Not even six weeks old and she rolled over on Wednesday! When she first did it, I thought "total fluke -- she won't do it again." So I got out the camera... lo and behold, she did it again!

I apologize for the crappy camera work... I missed part of the roll, but you'll get the idea.

My book says she shouldn't be rolling over until 3 months! She's such a little over achiever! Today we'll work on walking...

Update on Emily...

Emily is now two weeks and three days old... my how time flies!

I'm happy to announce that Emily is doing great! She went to the doctor on Thursday and is over her birth weight... She weighed in at 7.5 pounds! And I'm sure she's gained more since then, at the rate she eats!

We switched her to half breastmilk/half formula on Saturday... I just wasn't able to keep up with her intake. I was literally pumping every two hours and that was just getting her through the day. I was getting so stressed out, which isn't good for her or me... or Toby, for that matter.

Now that we've switched to half & half... she seems much happier. I'm MUCH less stressed. And I'm able to start stocking up on breast milk for when I go back to work -- which is a great thing! I love seeing milk in the freezer!

Emily seems to be sleeping longer at night now, as well... which is a WONDERFUL thing! We're trying to keep her up more during the day... playing with her, talking & reading to her, doing tummy time... whatever will keep her stimulated. That combined with lots of fresh air from walks and activities outside make for a sleepy baby at night!!

And God bless my mother for being such a great help! She's been coming over during the days to help out while Toby's at work... and she also stays here some nights to help out with late night feedings, etc... it's nice to be able to get some sleep! Thanks mom for all your help! We love you!!!
Okay... speaking of sleep, I think it's time for me to get some shut eye... let's see if Emily agrees???

Love you all! Mu-ah!
