The time has come to baby proof the house.
Emily is crawling.
She can also pull herself up from sitting to kneeling... and soon, will be standing.
It's a blessing and a curse.
EVERYTHING needs to be moved. Ugh.

8 MONTHS OLD
Today marks eight months old for little miss Emily! And it's amazing how much she has grown in that time!
She's ALMOST crawling... we can tell she really wants to. She'll be sitting there and start to get into the crawling position and then sit right back up. All the while with a look of "should I, can I?" on her face. I'm sure that any day, she'll just go for it... and be off! Then there's no turning back! So for now we'll enjoy the fact that she's not getting into everything. Yet.
Her teeth are coming in! She already has the bottom two, and yesterday Toby noticed that the top two seem to be starting. And she's drooling and sniffling up a storm! Gotta love teething time! Thankfully we have found an AWESOME pain reliever for little Monkey. The mesh teething feeder has been a life saver for us! Ice cubes, frozen peaches, frozen mangos... Emily loves them all! And we can tell it really soothes her teeth pains. Poor little thing!
She's got lungs! She's "chatting" up a storm... although nothing makes sense. She says "bahbahbahbahbah alot"... and when she's crying, she says "mamamamamamama" but that's about it. And when she's not "chatting," she's "singing" which sounds like "ahhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhhhh"... and she can get LOUD! And when she's excited, she shreeks. We really hope this is a phase. High-pitched, piercing shreaks. Ugh. Gotta love girls.
She's gonna be a "socca playa"! This little girl has the strongest legs. She's practically standing all by herself. She can't crawl... she can't walk (by herself)... but she can stand. She loves standing and holding on to the ottoman... or her Fisher Price Incrediblock that she loves. She's constantly motoring around in her walker or bouncing up a storm in her doorway bouncer. She loves being up on her legs! I'm sure she's going to be a soccer player! I'm sorry, Toby... I mean "football."
